The mat package consists of a bevel-cut "Vivid White" mat that frames the image of your print and a gray or black backing mat to which the print is attached. The print is mounted to the backing mat with t-hinges.

Mats used are manufactured by Nielsen and Crescent. These matboards are made from alpha-cellulose wood pulp fibers that have been chemically treated to eliminate the acids and lignins that normally degrade artwork and matboards (archival, alkaline pH). Lineco gum adhesive paper or linen tape used to hinge mats and mount print (archival, reversible with water, pH neutral).

This matting package makes it easy to place your print into standard-size frames. Make sure any frame you use has UV-protective glazing to protect your print from fading. See caring for prints section for more details.

Default mat dimensions:

11 x 14 in. mat for prints on paper approximately 8 x 10 in.

16 x 20 in. mat for prints on paper approximately 11 x 14 in.

20 x 24 in. mat for prints on paper approximately 16 x 20 in.

Custom mat dimensions are cut upon request. Please contact me before placing an order so I have all the details to properly mat your print and create an individualized invoice for the project.

All mats are cut to order. Please allow up to 5 days handling time before expecting shipment of your matted print.
